The 'Understanding Cancer' carnival, co-organised by PCC and North East Community Development Council, will be held in conjunction with the '50 Plus Active Ageing Celebrations 2009' and 'U Live-The Good Life' to educate and help raise awareness of cancer. Activities at the carnival include both English and Mandarin seminars on latest cancer treatment methods, workshops on cancer nutrition, breast self-examination and exercising for cancer prevention, free health screenings, one-on-one in-conversations with cancer specialists and an all-day health fair.

In preparation for the carnival, PCC is running a series of webinars starting from 24 October, covering commonly found cancers, types of treatment and prevention, as well as nutrition. To take part in the webinar, participants will need to register in advance by visiting "www.parkwaycancercentre.com/understandingcancer".
