Golden Hearts Foundation Announces the Establishment of Native American Communications Scholarship

Golden Heart Foundation to give scholarship to Alaskan Native/American Indian members who are majoring in media related field

Pacific Palisades , CA (Syndacast) Dec 3, 2008 -- The Golden Hearts Foundation of Pacific Palisades, CA is proud to announce the establishment of “The Native American Communications Scholarship”. This award will be utilized to help students of Alaskan Native/American Indian descent who are studying in a communications area, such as: Journalism, Broadcasting, Political Communications, Speech or Debate Forensics.

”The Native American Communications Scholarship” is a merit based award that applicants must demonstrate need, as well as have experience in debate, speech, broadcasting and any other communication related activity while in high school or at the University level. Requirements are: Personal Essay, 2 Letters of Recommendation, Tribal Enrollment (Alaskan Native/American Indian) and Communications area of study.

The Golden Hearts Foundation is a non-profit foundation founded in 2003 by Dr. Valerie Anne Kirkgaard. The foundation’s work focuses on communication, from education in broadcasting content and radio training to scholarships in areas of communication and public service. The main goal of The Golden Hearts Foundation is the development of public and participant education and awareness.
The Golden Hearts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and receipts will be issued for any donation in excess of $250.00. The Golden Hearts Foundation follows the “Donor’s Bill of Rights”.
